UK Lagging Behind, Japan and Korea Lead Broadband Speed Race

It has been predicted by Futuresource Consulting, a research group that the broadband industry will break the 500 million mark next year. Moreover, it has also said that 60 per cent of the technology for broadband will be DSL, while a fifth of the population will still be getting by with cable systems.

Futuresource has envisioned that the world’s dependence on broadband technology will steadily increase in the future. The number of broadband connections in Africa and the Middle East will increase by a third by the next year. Major contribution for the world’s broadband explosion is expected from these two places. Meanwhile, developed countries are more likely to see a drop in the number of new connections, which will have an effect on the bigger picture.

India is a country to look out for as the market for broadband is expected to increase to almost 25 million there, according to Patrik Pfandler, Senior Market Analyst. He added that even though the country has one of the lowest penetration rates right now, there is going to a five time increase in the market over the next four years.

According to Ofcom reports, the UK has a disappointing broadband speed of just 3.6Mb (click for a broadband comparison), whereas Japan and Korea are leading the world’s broadband speed race with an average speed of almost 30Mb. Clearly, the customers there are reaping the maximum benefits of broadband.

Mobile Broadband Dongles Fast Becoming a Fashion Item

Providers are on the lookout for more ways to draw users to their mobile broadband products, and this is clear from the merchandise that comes with these connections. USB dongles are especially attractive now due to their shinier new avatar and increased storage capacity (up to 8 GB), which makes it unnecessary for you to carry a USB memory stick with you if you have your dongle.

You can buy a range of skins and themes for your USB dongles in everything from false crocodile skin to leopard print in a whole host of patterns and any colour imaginable. All you need to do is go online (using your mobile broadband dongle!) and shop for what you need.

Mobile broadband dongles are thus fast becoming a fashion item, making it a fashion crime for you to move around with an old black USB stick covered with network branding. It is a niche market but it may just grow more popular as it has come up with a special mobile broadband for girls in pink! So go on girls keep up and click here for the latest in dongle deals.

You now have designers joining the fray with Henry Holland having already designed a dongle for O2 with a polka dotted theme. However, if polka dots do not suit your style, than Orange has come up with the pink E160 dongle with 8 GB storage, and the Asus Eee PC netbook, also pink, looks quite attractive too – although you shouldn’t really buy both as the shades do not go well together and the Eee PC anyways has on-board mobile broadband.

Deciding on the Very Best High Speed Internet Access Offer

Filed under: Telecommunication Management — admin @ 12:02 pm

When broadband users are looking at the broadband landscape browsers can often feel dazed. The broadband market is full with providers supplying lots of high speed broadband packages with different upload and download speeds and download limitations.

You may want to look up every single high speed internet supplier directly to learn what internet packages the corporation offer, download speeds they give and their contract terms. If you wish to absorb this info in one place broadband users may desire to see a high speed broadband comparison website.

If customers already have a high speed broadband service provider and wish to seek a cheaper organisation then not a thing should prohibit you from using another broadband firm, especially if a benefit is to be made. Internet comparison corporations will often be able to take internet users through the process and what steps may be taken.

When customers are seeking for the leading offer money may not be the main deciding factor. Tons of high speed internet access businesses will advertise a truly low entry package to tempt budding customers over to them. When high speed broadband packages are extraordinarily low in money please make sure you learn what internet speed the broadband service provider will provide, what download limits you will be provided with and also the terms and conditions of the contract. The download allocation is key as numerous companies can often charge broadband users per GB that internet users go over, so if your broadband package has an eight GB download limits and surfers download ten scary movies that month, you are more than likely to have downloaded 10 Gigabytes (i.e. one Gigabyte per movie) – which is 2GB’s beyond your download allocation, and that is two GB worth of internet downloads the organisation might charge over and above your monthly package charge. Get the cheapest Orange broadband deals available with Compare Broadband UK.

When looking at the hottest deal please of course check whether or not the provider will charge an admin fee and if there are any charges associated with being supplied a wireless internet router. All these additional costs can all mount up and broadband users will be left with little savings when compared to other broadband packages.

Thankfully, broadband provider comparison corporations might often flag up any additional costs and internet users can make an informed and unbiased decision.
