Too Many Mouths to Feed
Every time I have a dinner party, I realise that I do not have enough dining room chairs.
I’m going to have to quit inviting so many people. The thing is that I unfailingly cook way to much stuff, so I require plenty of folk to scoff it. I’m unfailingly happy if there are lots of people round my dining table, tucking in to a pot of stew or a curry. Good food and some good conversation is the recipe for a wonderful night. Though a bit of champagne also helps!
My sister has the most wonderful dining furniture in her house.
If we’re there for dinner we get terrific food and have lots of fun, usually remaining there late into the wee hours, however I invariably feel a touch jealous at the sight of her dining room furniture. In truth, her whole house is wonderful, possibly because her spouse is terribly rich.
He is a wonderful chap mind you, therefore I do not believe she married him for the money. Or not solely for the money, at least!
When next I have people round for supper, I’m going to prepare dim sum for starter.
This is ideal due to the fact that everybody is able to sample all the varied dishes. And then we’ll have venison, roasted in rosemary and ginger, with lentils and cracked wheat. For sweet, it will have to be chocolate cake, and maybe a cheese-board.
I hope everyone will be feeling hungry.
I’ve been having a look at dining room tables lately, due to the fact that mine is getting slightly old.
The table was evidently well-designed, since it still looks quite nice, however this does not stop me hankering after a newer one.
As a result of the state of the economy, there are loads of terrific deals out there now. We could not afford a new table if there weren’t.
A number of the dining sets I have spotted are selling at half their normal value, which seems like a good deal to my mind.
