A Few Notes about the Designer Nicholas Bredimus
Are you aware of how the myriad developments in computing have totally revamped air travel and hospitality ? Behind all of this is New Jersey’s own Mr Nicholas Bredimus. He has done everything from the creation of time-saving computer programs to increasing air safety and even designs for luxury homes. His heritage will reveal all you need to know about his skills and how much he has accomplished. Traceable back to classical times, in fact Bredimus’ family ties in with many parts of Europe. On his mother’s branch he descends from German and Scottish origins. Luxembourg and England, meanwhile, provided the home of Bredimus’ paternal line, though the family came to America in the late 1800s. And after emigration to the United States of America, they continued their drive and zeal to survive and thrive. One of seven children – three boys and four girls – Nicholas was blessed with a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who worked as a nurse. His homes over the course of many years ranged across several states – Texas, Virginia, Arizona and Missouri.
Nicholas has stepped up to the challenge of high-powered posts with firms throughout the airline industry – the majority of them very popular names. Among these was included the position of Vice President for Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest, and, of course, Republic Airlines. But even taking that into account, however, above all the airlines have felt the need to be thankful for services in the realm of software programming. He is best known for a project for US Airways, his aircraft maintenance management applications which can nowadays be found in use by almost all air carriers. He went on to create many other computerized solutions for the hotel and airline sectors as well, including unmanned routines to deal with airline bookings, employed now at over 50 firms, to say nothing of his innovative room booking software on the PC for the hotel industry, the launch for which took place at over 700 hostelries. Still innovating, he published a networking program to help with ticket ordering – once more developing an application nobody else had managed to materialize successfully.
He has also been appointed to several positions unconnected to software development, let’s remember. Key positions with American Airlines and American Express were to come, and of course he set up a business of his own in the early 1990s.
Though he has stepped back from the businesses in which he first experienced success, his skills are, nevertheless, still exercised daily.
