Why I Hired a Chocolatier for My Wedding
An enjoyable hobby I like to indulge in is to develop soap bars. And what is the connector between chocolate and soap? Quite a bit, actually. The other day, I was doing research on the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of cocoa butter. To my delight and horror, it’s an extremely supersaturated fat. I’m not a complete couch potato and I also make efforts to monitor my diet, and so just why this was a shock to myself I’m not sure.
I have poor HDL (High-density lipoprotein) and increased LDL amounts as well as diabetes, this was obviously bad news. A few pieces of “brown heaven” have more fat and cholesterol in them than a small bucket of popcorn. The very same day, I threw out all the chocolate in the house and I was adamant I would stop eating chocolate always. Fast forward to the day I was assured by my physician that my recent weight loss aided in lowering my levels of LDL (Low-density lipoprotein) and raised my High-density lipoprotein. I decided to mark the good news by buying an outfit in my slimmer shape. When I left the shop, I caught the aroma of my addiction. Chocolate. My body heard the call and next thing I knew, I had eaten two chocolate bars. Unnecessary to say, saturated fat or not… I’m never letting go of my addiction to Chocolate.
And believe it or not, I am hiring a Derby caterer who are specialists in making chocolate to cater for my wedding party this year.
