Offer Evidence of Success Throughout Your Marketing

Filed under: Marketing Tips — admin @ 11:18 am

Are you good at what you do? Sure you are, maybe even great at it. That’s certainly one of the reasons you got into the business that you did. Unfortunately, that’s not all there is to small business success.

As a small business owner, I’m sure you understand that being good at what you do doesn’t matter for much if you don’t know how to consistently attract clients. Consider that even the best in your field will go out of business without a constant stream of new clients and more income from existing clients.

The best way to leverage being good at what you do is to have plenty of evidence of your ability to produce results. Two things I say you can never have enough of are case studies and testimonials. They speak directly of real results and can be at the heart of all your marketing. They add credibility to your marketing materials.

If you’re not using these two powerful little marketing tools, then you need to start today. Success stories and testimonials go a long way towards convincing your prospects that you can deliver on what you say you can. Create a system to generate case studies (or success stories) and testimonials and then use them throughout all your marketing materials.

Use them as attachments to letters, articles or follow-ups you’re sending to someone. Weave them into the articles and special reports you’re writing to send out to prospects. Spread them throughout your web site where you’re talking about who you serve, how you work, and what services you offer. Bind them together in a booklet that’s titled “Why Our Clients Love Working With Us”.

The uses are practically endless. You just need to commit to creating these tools on a consistent basis. Your marketing materials will be much stronger for the effort.

Junior Golf – Some Parental Advice

Filed under: Hall Of Sports — admin @ 11:08 pm

With more and more children taking an interest in golf, many new junior golf programs and facilities have been created across both the UK and the World to enable youngsters to become involved. Junior golfers need to be encouraged both by their parents and by the golf academy or golf pro they learn from. Its important that golf is shown as an exciting and enjoyable pass time and the rewards of hitting a fantastic drive are as great as scoring a goal on the football pitch, but your kids need to know this.

In the UK the national sport is football and kids all over the country are out in the streets day in and day out kicking a ball around. Obviously one of the biggest problems with getting kids involved in golf is they can’t just pick up a club and a ball and whack it around in the street (or if they did I’msure the neighbours would have a few things to say).

As a parent it is your first job to make golf accessible to your child. Kids will probably lose interest if they have to sit in a car for 40 minutes before a lesson. There’s no excuse in the UK for not getting your child to a course or academy, we are all surrounded by golf (you just have to open your eyes a bit). Make sure you find them somewhere local, somewhere you can get them to in a few minutes. If it is somewhere local you’ll be more willing to take them for lessons or to play on a regular basis. Remember, though, if taking children to driving ranges or golf courses, try to take them when they are less busy. Trying to learn in front of large crowds, or being pressured by other golfers to “hurry up” can quickly put your child off and you’ll have trouble getting them to pick up a club again.

Why not buy a practice net for your back garden. Practice nets can be picked up from as little as £20 and can easily fit into even the smallest of gardens. If that’s not for you then pick up a putting machine and set it up in your child’s bedroom.

Children learn by imitation, so watching others play golf is a great way for them to improve. Let them watch a PGA event on the television. Its amazing how a child’s interest is sparked when they see the pro’s in action (especially if the pro is rather “cool”, such as Tiger Woods or Michelle Wie).

The real trick is to help and encourage your child without pushing them and applying pressure. The main focus for junior golf is to keep it fun and interesting anyway you can. If your child enjoys playing golf, they will naturally want to develop their skills further.

What We All Should Know With Respect to Online Sports Results Laying

Win big at all the top bet money on sports game games, online here.

Link up two of everybody’s dominating interests and what you’ll pinpoint is a trend termed a sportsbook wagers web site. Well: what could be more ingenious? Fancy a party of guys cheering on a home players, and almost all the time wagers will be established adding to the noise. Because they want to catch a bit of the action, bystanders will normally try to infer who is the likeliest to prevail the running struggle. All this develops into a warmhearted struggle known as sportsbook wagers web site.

If you want to bet, you’d be well advised to visit a sportsbook wagers web site, i.e. a setup that takes sportsbook wagers web site. In America, there’s four states to do sports gambling absolutely legally, but if you don’t care for legality, you may try it anywhere you like as long as you can pin down a bookie and you’re legally of age. Included among the sporting contests you can choose to risk your money on are pro conterminous with college basketball as well as college football, pro baseball and hockey, conterminous with bets on both horse and dog racing. Visitors could bet money on the comprehensive result of a game or fight, when one of the contesting parties will be vanquished, and even if a coin toss in a game or fight lands either heads or tails.

You will see a lot of varied manners of wagers– straight bets, parlays, teasers, which are like to parlays, only differing in that you will add or, if you prefer, subtract points from the distribution to improve your odds, as well as over/under wagers, the straight bets, where you simply quote the club which you think will make it or lose being the most prevalent in sports gambling.

So why not experiment with it, and amuse yourself in the process? Simply be on the guard so that you won’t get overpowered and drain your total social security checks capriciously… After all, you will certainly end up feeling sorry about it for the rest of your life…

Creative Online Marketing For Salespeople and Business Professionals

Filed under: Marketing Tips — admin @ 9:54 pm

New to a sales career? Want to market yourself but don’t have the money to do so? Tired of cold calling and prospecting? Wish there were an easier way to get the word out about your services?

Does this sound like you? This was what I felt like when I got my first sales job selling copiers ten years ago. My sales manager back then was into the traditional methods of getting new business; that is, prospecting, cold calling, booking appointments, doing product demonstrations, and closing sales. The problem is, when you’re new to the sales field, this is time consuming. Cold calling is not only one of the most difficult things to do, it also takes too much of your time, time which can be better spent in front of prospects.

So what do you do? There is still a need for cold calling, but it should only be part of your overall prospecting equation. Until you make business contacts and connections and have a wide business network, try some free online resources which can help you. The following is my list of online marketing methods which you can try. None of these on its own will generate enough business for you, but taken together it could give you a good start. Best of all, all these suggestions are free. So take a half day and try these:

1. Post a free classifieds ad on craigslist.org. Craigslist is ranked the 41st biggest website in the world (by alexa.com). What this means is that millions of people visit the site every month; that is, millions of potential clients. So if you’re a lawyer, a financial consultant, an insurance broker, a real estate broker, a contractor, or you sell anything at all, there is category for you to post a free classifieds ad. Classifieds ads posted on craigslist.org stay there for 45 days, so you only need to post once every month and a half. But even better is that these classifieds ads find there way into Google search results. So, even people that are not specifically searching for your product or service on the actual Craigslist site may be coming across your ad through search engines.

2. Create a free profile on trade-pals.com. TradePals is a directory of business professionals, entrepreneurs, sales people, and trades people across the U.S. and Canada. It is categorized by city and business category. The website provides sales leads to its members. Basically, you create a profile and place it in the proper city and category. So let’s say that you are an engineering consultant in Miami. You create a profile and place it in the engineering category in that city. If someone from Miami is searching for an engineering consultant and sees your profile they can contact you by filling in a contact form and you will be notified by email that someone wants to do business with you. TradePals allows you to post a photo of yourself. Take advantage of this option as profiles with photos are viewed more often.

3. Create a free profile on MySpace.com and join in on the discussions in some of the business groups on that website. Myspace is populated mostly by teens and younger adults, so the audience may not be your target market, but there are some mature people using the site too so it’s worth a shot. The good thing is that this website is ranked #28 in the world (by alexa.com) so a lot of people find there way to this site.

4. Create a free profile on ziggs.com. Ziggs allows for a comprehensive profile and also places it into categories. But instead of a directory style approach, it uses a search option. For example, you can search a keyword “lawyer” in New York, and you’ll be shown all the results of lawyers in New York that have created a profile.

5. Create a profile in business discussion forums and join in on the discussions. By adding your 2 cents into these discussions people will see you as an expert in your given field. Include you business phone number in your profile so that people that want to contact you can easily do so. Two of the best online forums that I have found are small-business-forum.com and smallbizgeeks.com.

These five suggestions can get you started and get your name out there as a business professional. Together, these websites receive millions of visitors a day. Each of these visitors is a potential client. Building your own website costs money and advertising it will cost even more. Take advantage of websites that are already there for you to use. In addition to these, there are dozens of other websites that offer free advertising, from press release websites, like pr.com, to business networking websites, like linkedin.com. See what works best for you and use the services that they offer. So, while you are cold calling and prospecting in the traditional sense, these websites will be working for you and advertising your services 24 hours a day.

The Popular Notebook Trends At The Present

Filed under: Universe Of Technology — admin @ 7:00 pm

Move over PC, it’s the era of the portable computer, or at least that what the colossal demand suggests. Manufacturers are trying to keep up with this but have warned that supply could be small. In fact if anything has hindered demand or shipments of laptops then its been shortages of components. Also with notebooks now it looks like every 6 months or so the technology is already lapped with something new.

With all the latest insights in technology gaming laptops have capitalised a great deal in my opinion. These notebook computers are also in value because of the tough competition faced from low priced laptops. I play games on my notebook on a frequent basis and must say I’m delighted how playable some of the intense games are. With the new found power also came along more streamlined chassis. Extreme game players will always choose their desktop gaming rigs for power and rightly so but it’s the versatility laptops give that influences people settle on frame rates. The development of gaming laptops means that they will get sleeker and lighter in the the coming years.

There are always those individuals that require a notebook custom built because they require to use it for specialised work. One thing with custom laptops is that you can aquire superior specification components. In my view being able to choose the processor, memory and hard disk is ideally catered for the more power hungry people out there. Mass market laptops aren’t designed with niche consumers in mind and this could create an issue. So clearly this is why you need a custom laptop. There is a large array of choices for custom built laptops with system builders all providing a good personal service. Brand names are surprisingly being disregarded because of this.

I feel a lot of techies are waiting for the future range of notebook computers. I forgot to speak of the large growth of internet devices and laptop computers. An entirely new market has been made overnight it looks. I feel people would like to see bigger laptops that weigh a ton less than todays models. If we skip out processing power I’m sure we would see those versions of laptops today. Notebooks for gamers will get smaller, that’s for sure. Despite the fact that notebooks technology follows roadmaps theres always going to be a gadget that transforms all that.

The Gaming Laptops from Rizeon are considered to perform very well.

Eye Care – Macular Degeneration Help

Filed under: Health Tips — admin @ 7:43 pm

Are you finding that you can’t see as well as you used to? Are you beginning to see spotted, wavy, distorted, or blurry images? This loss of vision might not be just a part of getting older. You could have AMD (age related macular degeneration).

Macular Degeneration is actually an irreversible eye disease. It is caused by the progressive deterioration of the central retina (macula), affecting your central vision. AMD destroys cells in your eyes and once they are damaged, you lose the ability to see details. However, it does not destroy your peripheral vision, nor will your vision go completely black. You will still be able to see light, movement and shapes. There are ways to preserve your eyesight before it gets that bad.

There are some factors that have been found to be linked to AMD, such as advancing age, genetic inheritance, smoking, nutrition, sun exposure and high blood pressure. The one factor that is the most under your control is nutrition. Eating the right foods may help decrease your risk of developing macular degeneration.

AMD is divided into two types, wet and dry. Wet (neovascular) AMD occurs when vessels keep forming to help the blood supply to the retinal tissue which is very oxygen deprived. The vessels that form are very fragile and easily break. This causes damage and bleeding to the tissue. Wet AMD is much more severe than dry AMD. The dry form (non-neovascular) is much more common and is characterized by loss of pigment within the retina.

Doctors have found that people who consumed the largest numbers of vegetables had a 43% lower risk of getting AMD than people who ate the least amount of vegetables. It can’t be just any vegetable though; it must be rich in carotenoids. Vegetables that contain the most carotenoids are spinach, collard greens and kale. Other vegetables also contain it though, just in fewer amounts. These vegetables, from the highest amount to the lowest amount, include parsley, mustard greens, dill, celery, scallions, leeks, broccoli, leaf lettuce, lettuce, green peas, pumpkin, brussel sprouts, summer squash, corn, green beans, green pepper, green olives and tomatoes. You should include an abundance of these vegetables in your diet.

There are many dietary supplements that you can take to slow the progression of AMD. Vitamins such as vitamin E, C, zinc and beta-carotene have been known to help. You can take a high dose of these supplements; however, this can be a risk for some people. Beta-carotene can increase the risk of lung cancer in smokers. Please talk to your doctor before beginning a high dose regimen. It is possible to lower your risk of developing advanced macular degeneration by 25% if you take this combination of vitamins.

There are still a few other things you can do to increase your risk. If you smoke, you should quit. Smoking hurts circulation in the body and causes the blood vessels in the retina not to work as efficiently. Wearing sunglasses regularly can also help protect your eyes. Even though you cannot see ultraviolet (UV) light, it is still absorbed by your eyes and eyelids. The sunglasses you get need to block all UV rays, which are UVA, UVB and UVC. Also, exercise regularly; this will increase your overall health and your circulatory system.

If you already have AMD, taking these preventative measures will greatly reduce your risk of having it develop into advanced AMD. It you don’t have it, you should make sure you are at least eating the right foods and not smoking. This will help your eyes get what they need and prevent the disease from occurring.

Conserving Water and the Reality of Return on Investment for Carwashes; Case Study

Filed under: Management Hub — admin @ 5:31 am

Water is a precious resource but so often it is hard to get businesses to conserve it unless it is profitable for them to do so. In fact many environmental issues are like this. Yes it is the right thing to do many times, but if it costs too much, many businesses will hesitate.

Well one business-marketing student is definitely thinking outside the box. Her concept is simple, use the waste wash-water at the carwash to water the landscape, pressure wash the facilities and even flush the toilets. And why not it makes sense using a series of filters and an RO unit as she states. Paula Chavis has a plan and in this plan she will use market forces to get Car Wash Owners who do not recycle their water to start conserving.

So, lets look at this great plan; In many cities water costs for carwashes are only about $250 per month so it is not a significant cost considering a full-service or flex car wash has lots more in labor, property payments, soap and coupon packages for advertising.

So, in many regards the cost savings in water, speaking purely of money of course, not on civic duty to our environment, it may be a very big savings or a worthy investment unless it is a very high-volume car wash or the region is under severe drought and the carwash is under mandatory regulation to submit a plan to local regulators on how they are saving water you see?

Paula’s specialized system could be leased but if lease payments are more than their water savings cost then the ROI Return on Investment simply is not there. Thus my suggestion for a PR campaign to go with it you see? Now of course I am speaking of the United States market not anywhere else. I would bet in places where water is more serious then your system becomes even more valuable you see? Consider the challenge of helping businesses to help the environment.

Lane Splitting Law Is A Legal Grey Area

Filed under: Vintage Cars + More — admin @ 9:42 pm

There is no absolutely universal legal view on lane splitting, because lane splitting law varies from each state to the next. Even within a single state, lane splitting law tends to be far more complex than many of the other kinds of legislation that restrict how drivers and motorcycle riders can behave. Lane splitting in California is legal in many circumstances, but not in all circumstances, so whether a biker is cited for illegal lane splitting in California has as much to do with what kind of mood a police officer is in as it does with the realities of lane splitting law. Lane splitting law is one of the greyest areas of ambiguity in modern laws that govern the safe use of vehicles, so it is little wonder then that there is a lot of confusion about lane splitting law among driver, motorcycle riders, and even among lawyers and other law professionals.

Even in states where lane splitting is legal, most motorcycle riders who are concerned with being very prudent about their safety and making sure that they are within the confines of the law avoid lane splitting at all because it is such a grey area in terms of law and in terms of safety. Lane splitting law is complex, but the most important decision that a motorcycle rider makes about lane splitting shouldn’t be whether it is legal in a given situation, but rather whether it is safe. Lane splitting is often very dangerous, and even in the cleanest and clearest of circumstances lane splitting can lead to an accident if things go even slightly awry.

Although lane splitting is legal in some states like California, California bikers might find it prudent to take a cue from other states on this matter. The fact that lane splitting is technically legal in California under most circumstances does not mean that it is a safe practice. One of the most dangerous things about lane splitting is that many automobile drivers do not know how to safely interact with motorcycle riders, so lane splitting can make drivers panic and do things that are unpredictable and often cause injury or even death to motorcycle riders who were technically behaving within their legal rights. It is important to remember that legal lane splitting isn’t always safe lane splitting, so although it is important to follow lane splitting law it is even more important to follow your common sense when deciding whether to lane split on your bike or not.

There is a lot of debate among the motorcycle riding community and among drivers about whether current lane splitting law is satisfactory. Some people feel that current lane splitting law is too loose and not restrictive enough about lane splitting. There are even individuals and groups calling for a national ban on lane splitting under any circumstances. However, there are also plenty of individuals and groups who believe that lane splitting can be safely practiced, and that there should be more of an effort to educate motorcycle riders and divers about how to split lanes safely without causing accidents. Whatever your personal views on lane splitting may be, it is almost certainly true that lane splitting law is one of the most complex areas of law surrounding the practices of drivers and motorcycle riders.
